Identification TipsLook for the characteristic black checkered markings on white wings, particularly the distinct pattern on the forewing tips. Females tend to have heavier markings than males, and the underside of the hindwing often has greenish-yellow veins.
Description
This medium-sized butterfly has white wings distinctly marked with black checkered patterns, more prominent on the forewings, especially in females. The underside of the hindwings often shows yellowish-green markings along the veins.
