Lifecycle NotesEggs are laid singly on host plants. Larvae are green with a pale stripe, pupating into a green chrysalis. Typically has two or three generations per year.
Identification TipsDistinguished from other clouded yellows by the prominent reddish-ringed white spot on the hindwing underside and the generally brighter yellow coloration, especially in males. Females can be yellowish or whitish.
Description
A medium-sized butterfly with bright yellow wings, often with a pinkish fringe. The hindwing underside features a prominent white spot ringed in reddish-brown, while the forewing has dark markings near the apex.
