Lifecycle NotesLarvae, known as sod webworms, live in silken tunnels at the base of grass plants, feeding on roots and stems. Pupation occurs in a silken cocoon in the soil.

Description
A small, slender moth with a pointed head and wings folded tightly along its body. Its forewings are light tan to golden-brown with distinct longitudinal darker stripes and a metallic sheen, providing excellent camouflage among grasses.
