Description

The Painted Lady is a medium-sized, cosmopolitan butterfly known for its long-distance migratory habits. Its wings are predominantly orange and brown, with black tips on the forewings containing white spots, and a row of small black spots on the hindwings. The underside is mottled brown and white, providing camouflage.
