Description
The Cabbage White, or Small White, is a common and widespread butterfly characterized by its predominantly white wings with small black tips on the forewings. Males typically display one black spot on each forewing, while females usually have two. The underside of the hindwings is a pale yellowish-white, often with a dusting of dark scales. It is known for its distinctive, somewhat erratic flight pattern and is frequently seen fluttering in gardens and fields. Its larvae are significant pests of cruciferous crops.
