Description

The Common Rose is a medium-sized, black butterfly characterized by prominent red and white markings. Its forewings are black with white streaks, while the hindwings feature a series of red spots along the margin and a large central white patch. It exhibits a slow, gliding flight. The larvae feed on Aristolochia plants, which makes the adult butterfly unpalatable to predators, displaying aposematic coloration.
