Description

The High Brown Fritillary is a large, striking orange-brown butterfly with prominent black spots and markings on its upperside. The underside of the hindwings is typically yellowish-orange with a distinctive row of large, silvery-white spots, which can sometimes be reduced or absent in certain subspecies. It is known for its powerful flight.
