Description
The Eastern Tailed-Blue is a small butterfly with a wingspan typically ranging from 22 to 30 mm. Males exhibit iridescent blue uppersides, while females are generally duller blue or brownish. The underside of the wings is grayish-white, marked with small black spots and, most notably, two small black spots with orange crescents near the hindwing tails. Each hindwing usually possesses one or two slender, hair-like tails.
