Lifecycle NotesEggs are laid singly on oak leaves. Larvae feed on the leaves, creating shelters by folding or tying leaves together. Pupation occurs within a leaf shelter or on the ground, with multiple generations per year.
Identification TipsThe most reliable identification feature is the prominent, unbroken white fringe on the hindwings. Other duskywings may have a partial or less distinct white fringe, or lack it entirely. The forewing spots are also present but can be variable.

Description
