Identification TipsLook for its large size, bright orange upperwings with black spots, and especially the striking silver streaks on the underside of the hindwings. Males have noticeable dark scent scales on the forewing veins.

Description

A large, vibrant orange butterfly with prominent black spots and markings on its upper wings. The underside of the hindwings is greenish-grey with distinctive silvery streaks, giving it its common name.
