Description
The Great Orange-tip is a large and striking butterfly, particularly known for the prominent, bright orange tips on the forewings of the males. Females typically have black markings on the orange tips or may appear more yellowish-white without the strong orange. The underside of its wings often features cryptic patterns, providing excellent camouflage by mimicking a dry leaf when at rest. It is a powerful and fast flier, commonly seen in sunny clearings.
