Lifecycle NotesEggs are laid singly on grass blades. Larvae are typically green or brownish, camouflaged on their grass host plants. Pupae are suspended and are usually green or brown.
Identification TipsThe most distinctive feature is the broad, straight white band on the underside of the hindwing, which stands out against the otherwise uniform brown coloration. Small, often indistinct, black ocelli are also present near the wing margin.
